FAQ
What are group classes?
- Group classes are like school for dogs. You attend with your dog, and an instructor provides lessons and instruction. Due to this, please be on time, don’t speak while the instructor is talking so that everyone may hear the lesson. People coming in late can be a disruption to the class, so please do your best to arrive on time.
When can my puppy start classes?
- Puppies can start as early as 8 weeks old! Our First Paw Forward program is designed to get puppies started with training right after they arrive home.
What vaccinations are required?
- For puppies, they must have had their first set of shots prior to the start of class. A copy of their vaccination record is required
- For dogs 6 months and older, Parvovirus, Distemper and Rabies.
- Dogs will have vaccines based on what is age appropriate at the time.
My dog is not young enough for puppy class, where do I start?
- Our Never Too Late obedience program is suitable for dogs of age 4 months and up. It is a Beginner Obedience class tailored to give you the training tools to start your dog off on the right foot (or paw!)
How many dogs are in classes?
- To ensure everyone gets ample attention in classes, and as well to keep numbers safe, we currently allow six dogs per class, with the exception of puppy school which can have a maximum of seven, with an assistant instructor on board to help.
